if you are awarded a cal grant(financial aid), is it harder to get a regents or chancellor scholarship? also what is the difference between those two scholarships?
@SabPardo Same with me. I’m at about 3.51 but they did request that I send them proof of AR awhile back. No decision yet.
Accepted
UC GPA: 3.59
SAT: 1310
Theatre, Film & Digital Production
@AR301109 no it shouldn’t affect regents/chancellor Scholarship I believe! Cal grant is from California in general and regents/chancellor is specific to the school that offers it to you.
@PreKDropout That’s a very competitive GPA. I hope all goes well for you.
They did ask me what happened between me taking a semester at a community college after freshman year of high school, and when i started college again after my junior year( and continued until now), So that may be causing a delay.
if you want to join a group me dm me!! admitted students
Accepted with a 5000$ scholarship to BCOE. 1st acceptance with scholarhsip!
Does this mean I got honors. Also, are scholarships holistic? What do you need for Regents?

Congratulations to all of you who have gotten in so far and I’m wishing the best for those of you who are still awaiting a decision. My daughter got accepted to UCR last year and I remember all the stress this process put her through so I feel your pain. I just wanted to let you know that UCR is a great school. My child is super happy and UCR has greatly exceeded her expectations. It may not have the name recognition of Berkley or the sports teams of UCLA but make no mistake it is part of a world recognized and respect UC system and is considered a highly ranked school when compared to schools across the US. If people only knew what a hidden jewel UCR is more would apply. and stop criticizing it as a low level school. It is centrally located to all major socal cities, It sponsors great concerts, she likes living in the dorms and has met plenty of friends, So far she has enjoyed the professors. They have been challenging but friendly and helpful. Just in talking to her I see intellectual growth in how she thinks. The rec center is state of the art and the dorms are nice. Enjoy the next four years and I wish you continued success.

- Waiting on the other UCs. Wish me luck!
I still haven’t heard back yet but I applied like 2 days before the application was due… did everyone who got in so far apply earlier??
@AspiringCS12 I hope you realize that all of the colleges want something different that applies to their specific campus. Just because you don’t get into UCR doesn’t mean you won’t get accepted to other campuses. You can stop being rude. Thanks
Got in with a 2.9 GPA and 33ACT. Is that expected or was I lucky?
