When did you get accepted? @jwaubele
What major did you apply to?
What major did you apply to?
@Gumbymom I got accepted to UCR and UC Davis and I checked my financial aid award summary for both and noticed I haven’t gotten any scholarships. I was hoping I get a scholarship or two that I applied for on the UC application (first gen, first in family, cali-born, etc). Does this mean I won’t be getting any scholarships in any UC campuses? I’m kinda afraid I’m getting accepted, but financially I’m not getting anything worth.
In general UC’s so not give much in merit aid (scholarships) but give good need-based aid if eligible. Did you run the net price calculators on each schools website for an estimate?
Hi guys! I was accepted as a Biochemistry major with a Chancellor’s Scholarship. UCR isn’t my top choice, but I’d be happy at every school I applied to and will go to the one that offers the most financial aid.
GPA: 3.9 (UW) 4.59 (W) not sure how to calculate UC GPA.
SAT: 1310 (630 Math, 680 R&W)
Class Rank: 1/50
AP’s Taken: World History (3), Euro, US History, English Lang, English Lit, US Gov, Calc AB, Stats (3), Chem, and Psych (I didn’t take the tests for most of them because I didn’t know disability accommodations were a thing until this year when my new school introduced things like 504 plans and accommodations to me).
Dual Enrolled Courses: Human Bio (A) and Macroeconomics (A)
EC’s: Pretty good- I can type it all up if anyone is seriously interested. Basically a few clubs at both schools I’ve attended with leadership positions, volunteering at a hospital, and an internship. I’ve gotten some awards too most in school or local except for a letter from the White House, specifically from Obama’s advisor, recognizing a short film I created on racism.
Essays: I’m proud of them and I had a few teachers read over them who liked them.
Other colleges applied: UCI, UCSD, UCLA, USC (my dream!!) and other reaches that I don’t want to share because I don’t want people telling me I’m not good enough for them lol
Accepted: Just UCR so far!
Denied: n/a
Waitlisted: n/a
Geographic location: Southern California, USA
Unique Things: First gen student, serious health problems that at times have affected my school (never grades but attendance, testing, etc), low socioeconomic status
Career Goals: Future Rheumatologist here!!
lol this is so long I’m sorry
does anyone know the next wave of acceptances?? so far it’s been march 5 and march 8/9. should some more decisions be coming out tomorrow? anyone have any knowledge on this??? really stressed as i have no decision yet!
UCR is releasing decisions on a rolling basis. People are notified each day if they have gotten accepted except on weekends.
@gabbyjohn1030 I would say most likely. If they keep on releasing every Monday and thurs/Friday then they would be done on time before any other big UCs come out.
@ezam1990 Really?!
Well… I don’t think they’ll approve me for Neuroscience because they require calculus 1 and 2 to be complete prior to transfer and I have not completed calc 2.
@llaauurenn check your spam folder! That’s where I found my UCR acceptance email.
Has any who hasn’t gotten their decision yet heard anything today?
Still sending out acceptances?
@IWantToGotoUC ya they are rolling through to the end of March I haven’t received my decision yet and a lot of people and my school haven’t either
@blueem weird. it wasn’t even there for me 8-| although to be fair i use icloud and it only has trash and junk, no spam.
@llaauurenn we are on the same boat. I check my spam but there is nothing there.
I haven’t gotten a decision yet and applied for political sci… does that mean I got rejected?
