My daughter is waitlisted at UCD,UCSC,UCSB,UCR but she received financial aid email from UCR
What is that mean?
If you were waitlisted, I am too, and you got a financial aid package, I did, it does mean that you are for sure getting in. It is stating how much financial aid you would get if you were to be accepted.
It’s almost a deciding factor for those who are debating whether or not to stay on the waitlist. If you get a good amount of financial aid and you willing to risk it, then stay on the waitlist. If not, then don’t

Does anyone know if it is hard to switch into the computer science major at ucr?
@rosecuut did you get into UCR for another major or are you on the waitlsit?
I got waitlisted as a Pre-Business Major, UCR is my top choice school. anyone know the chances of me getting off the waitlist as that major? I feel like I should call and change my major to something less impacted if that can help my chances of getting in.

@rosecuut it’s probably very difficult due to being one of the most impacted majors at that school. I’m on the waitlist for comp sci so they probably wont let you switch into it that easily.

@collegeplzz21 I thought we would hear about admission only after May 1st? You did not get financial aid email?
@tekgeek9: Admissions and the FA office are separate so most likely they have given you FA in case you are admitted from the waitlist since you are given only a few days to make the decision. I do not think that it is an indication of an acceptance to come.
So like if i got waitlisted at ucr, should i accept and enroll at another college for now?? Btw will housing still be available after? How will we find roomies?
yea you should and they typically leave extra rooming for waitlisted people. You can always join the UCR 2022 page and after you are off the waitlist you can ask for other people who just got off

Wait, do we not need a 3.0 to not get rescinded? The provisions just say don’t get D’s and F’s. Nothing about GPA.
