Ucr class schedule

What is everyone's class schedule for fall? I know when I registered everything I wanted was full or the class was reserved for a learning community...just wanna know what everyone is taking first quarter.

Chem 112A - Organic Chemistry
Bio 5C - introductory Biology
Geo 5 - Our system of Planets (astronomy class)
Physics 40A - Physics for engineers

Intro to Brit Lit
Our Family of Planets
First year Japanese

@Whiteclock: heyy, same geo 5 class haha.

sorry that this is off topic, but do you guys know how we are sapose to know what books to buy because right now i’m completely lost on the matter.

@tehspoon
you can wait until the first day of class for the professor to tell you or email them.

Phil9-Biomedical Ethics
ENCS 1- Intro to Envio Sci
ESTS 3- African American Studies
Phys 20- exploring the Universe ( might drop for Arabic to have Fridays off)

Have fun with Ochem science majors

Hnpg 9- Honors First Year Workshop
Math 9c - First-Year Calculus
Math 10a - Calculus: Several Variables
Anth 1 - Cultural Anthropology
and hopefully
Phys 40a

psyc 12
bio 2
soc 15
soc 5

econ102
phys10
stats48

& an rcc online class for bus20.

Econ 004
Engl 01a
etst 001h
hnpg 009

Cool lol, will be interesting to see new people in Geo 005

Btw, how’re you taking 10A and 9C concurrently? I thought latter portion of intro calculus was prerequisite for vector calculus

It isn’t. As far as I can tell, 9c focuses mainly on series and sequences. Anyways the prerequisite for 10a is 9b. I think I’ll be fine :]

Hist015 World History 1500-1900
Math09B Calculus
Chem01A Chemistry
Intro To material science and engineering

CS 14 - computer science: Introduction to Data Structures and Algorithms
Physics 40A - Physics for Engineering majors
Math 9B - Calculus
Chem 1A - Chemistry

@tehspoon: you can also look up what books you might need through the campus book store, but you’re better off waiting for the first day of class because the professor will explain everything then too.

Lucky bastards, you engineering majors don’t need to take the Bio 5 series

Chem majors get the worst deal, i gotta take Bio 5 AND Physics 40, not Physics 2

srsly - AND the Math 10 series

at least no math 40 i think

Whiteclock:
I’m Computer engineering, I believe the Chemical Engineering I believe has to take it. and they have to do CS10 which is no easy class.
And we do have to do the Math 10 series to top off with other math.
And Don’t be so hasty to think you’re 100% screwed. I had to learn a completely different language (C++) and have to take a ton of classes for it, it’s not easy.

In the end, BCOE and CNAS both get the rotten end of the stick of hard classes.

If we tested into Math 22, do we qualify for Math 8 or Math 9? Because I’m trying to get a few pre-medical courses done and Math 22 doesn’t give me any access to the pre-med courses I want to take, while Math 8 and 9 do.

So, again, if the MAE put us in Math 22, can we enroll in something like Math 8?

I could be wrong about his but:

Math 9 requires that you’re placed in Math 5 or higher.

Math 22 also requires that you placed in Math 4 or Math 5 or higher.

So if you got into Math 22, you can already enroll for Math 9.

Will Math 9 give me access to the Biology and Chemistry courses I need to get started on the pre-medical track?
