I was rejected from all other UC's I applied to and now need help decided which school to go to. Personally, I don't believe UC Riverside is such a bad school and if I attend CSU Fullerton or Northridge, there's a high chance that I won't be able to graduate in 4 years. Community College is not an option, my parents have already ruled it out. So my plan now is to attend Riverside and transfer to another UC after two years (I already have a lot of credits from taking college classes and AP classes) or, if I end up liking it, just graduating from Riverside. If I were to graduate with honours or something, it would't be "bad" to graduate from UCR right? Will I get less job opportunities from graduating from UCR? Just wanted to get peoples opinions, thanks!

It’s not gonna be easy to transfer from a 3rd tier uc to a higher tier uc

Its not impossible but it will be much harder to transfer from a CSU or UCR to any other UC. You have a higher chance of transferring if you attend a community college. In fact you can TAG to UCI UCSB UCM UCSC UCD with a 3.0-3.2 GPA. Which means you will be guaranteed admittance as long as all requirements are met on time. If you attend community college you can also transfer your AP credits. I have many friends who went to community college and attend UCLA and Berkeley, so community college isn’t a bad option and saves you money in the long run.

If not attend UCR and why not just graduate from there? Its a UC, ranked much higher than CSUN and i believe CSUF…i guess it depends on your major too… in my opinion only attend CSUN or CSUF if they will be giving you a full ride and you can commute there.
another thing is UCR will also better prepare you for graduate school if you plan on attending. Since UCs are research based schools they tend to prepare students for grad school, while cal states prepare students for the work industry.
Will you be getting financial aid? Take that into consideration as well.

What do you plan on majoring in college? Some schools are better than others in certain departments =P

I would definitely look into the majors you’re looking at going into, or whatever major you picked when you applied, when trying to make the decision about which school. They’re all good schools but it’s something you should really look into. Cal states are more hands on schools and UCs do more research.
If you’re planning to go to UCR, you can try to transfer but grades would have to be great and you’re going to want to make connections with professors for recommendations and whatnot to make your application better. I will agree with most people it would be better to transfer out from a CC.
Another thing is if you’re looking at engineering, there is the 5 year BS and MS program that is offered at UCR and can be beneficial if you’re looking at engineering at least.
