is UCR's engineering department good, specifically EE or BioE. is it easy to get recruited to a good job if i do well in school. i am debating between UCR and san jose state university for these two majors

UCR’s Bourns College of Engineering combines academic and research excellence with individual attention and mentoring because of its small size classes. There aren’t many engineering students at UCR, but it is definitely prestigious and it is still growing. (It’s only been like 20 years). And a lot of students from engineering school are really intelligent. There are also many opportunities for undergraduates to research and internships opportunities. Since it is credited by ABET, many major companies look for UCR Bourns engineers.

According to U.S. & World News Report, the graduate school was ranked #62 in the nation, which is decent compared to other engineering schools.
So overall, it is really a decent school for engineering

Im pretty sure san jose state university also offers some good engineering program (from what I heard). I’m not too sure about it. Only know about Riverside because I am going to be a Riverside student. Do some research before you choose a college.

If San Jose State has good engineering program and is close to you, then I would choose san jose state for proximity reason as well as financial reason.
