UCR Information Sytems concentration

Hello everyone,
I am looking to transfer to UCR for their business administration concentration in information systems. I heard from many people that UCR has a great business program, but when I ask about the IS concentration, people have said that it doesn’t have much technical skills to offer. I would like more opinion on this from people that have taken business at UCR. Few questions I have are:

  1. How strong is this concentration? (Do you learn marketable skills which you can bring to the employers?)
  2. What kind of careers and starting salary range can I expect post graduation?
  3. Which concentration do you think is stronger than IS?

The program is good and the skills you build are marketable and a lot less intense than CS. Take some classes and see if you like it… if not, the pay, etc don’t really matter.

What kind of careers are available with this program if you do enough internships and get great grades? I am willing to work with any computer job except softwatre developer and help desk
