I have been recently accepted to UCR, but still not sure if this school is the best for me. I have a few questions to ask:
-Science field/medical pathway
-Major: Environmental Science
- What are the pros and cons of UC Riverside, specifically for students in science or medical major!
- How are the housing like for freshmen?
- Is Highlander Day really beneficial?
- I keep getting emails about UCR’s Honors program. I’m not sure if it will be of a struggle to undertake or that it will be beneficial for me in the future, like getting into medical school after. I know the deadline passed for 2018 but would I be able to apply for the following year
- I described myself as an introvert, how hard is it to socialize and make friends there (try not to be general), programs?
- What fraternities are there that I might be interested in? I don’t want those stereotypical fraternities with parties and stuff…
- I like doing community services like cleaning the environment, so what are the clubs available that I might be interested in?
- I heard about a thing in UCR where you could have a group or a buddy that are in the same major something about how effective it may be like improving your GPA…
- I’m Chinese and Vietnamese, are there any activities that are right for me?
- Is there a career center and/or a personal mentor that could give me advice for the next few years in UCR? I want to become a nurse/physician assistant (or something medicine) but not sure if I am going in the right path as I am currently a environmental science major
- How hard is it to go to UCR school of medicine?
