naa its more
9a = calc a
9b = calc b lol

9a is just basics of trig n algebra thats used in calc - rate of change, slope n tangent lines, differentation n antidertatives, implicit, etc.

9b is application of it all - integration by parts, partial fraction decomposition, volumes by washer and disks, rotations, shells, related rates, etc.

9c is harder applications, surface area and length of curves using dif n integrals, sequencies n series n tests for convergence and divergence, radius of convergence, intro to differential equations, first order liner dif eq, second order, separable, mixing solutions and and rate problems using dif eq and dif eqs in dif eqs, intinal condition problems, etc…

dam that took a while, dont ever make me recall all of this ever again! i will shoot someone if “whats the diff between math9abc” is asked again xD hahahah j/k i love math [=

anyone got any information about the walk-in registration with some of the classes? =]]]]
if math 9b is what ^^ says, then it shouldn’t be too hard, since i learned most of that in calc ab =]]]]. sounds like its being repeated almost…

walk-in registration? never herd of it… maybe for smaller chass classes? normally professors ask you to see the respective department if you want to add a class n growl isnt letting you.

it really helps to have taken ap calc. the college courses repeat what you learned and expand on it, plus throw in new more advance materials. so not an exact repeat, but still good to have experience. [=

@MehediMD - AWESOME!
thank god it only covers bit by bit
i thought it was like calc ab in one quarter and calc bc in another
since the highschool covers ab in a year i was like “****…”

WHEW!
now i’m not so scared

Do you get a lot of time to prepare for stuff?
Or do they move at a very fast pace where you have to study couple hours everyday just to stay on track?

instead of posting a new thread, ill just post my new question here.
I was thinking about buying a new car and I was wondering how often cars get damaged and stuff at UCR. my friend told me a hummer got broken into and stuff. How safe is ur car going to be?

As for calc, im leaning more towards taking it now =]

Thank you in advance as always =]

Goddamnit they cancelled a math class I needed…so now in place of some super easy math class, I have to take some super hard one. Damn you!!

damm you classes.ucr.edu!!

as for the car issue. If you park on the street (ie the famous free parking watkins st) you have a good chance at something happening.(there is always broken glass, hit n runs, etc - i took my chances for a whole quarter tho) If you park at the housing parking lot, you’ll be a bit safer. There are overhead cameras that watch over the lots, plus our officers patrol them at night. That is not to say however that the lots are 100% safe. My roomie left his doors unlocked on his bmw 335xi and his ipod was taken.

ps. try not to drop a case of samual adams in the parking lot, one of the glass bottles will break and as you frantically try to clean up and move your car else where, the smell of beer will stick around for a while. the end.

sorry to bring back this thread but i had 1 more question.

is it better to buy a new or used car to go to ucr? lol
im still very iffy about the school parking lots and stuff 0_o

personally ill bring a use not cause of fear but more of a cost saving measure when it comes to taxes an insurance
