UCR or UCD? Help!

Well, I've been thinking a lot about where to go and I've eliminated UCSB as an option for Business or Economics at the moment.

My choices now:

UCD: Managerial Economics
UCR: Business Administration

I already have potential roommates for either school I choose so that doesn't matter that much. Although UCD has a good program, I think being farther away from home (I live in Sacramento) will make me more independent and help me grow as a person.

Is UCR really THAT bad? Surely there's got to be some positive points for this school? Anyone think I'll have problems finding that 50k+ job in San Francisco or LA if I graduate from UCR?

ucr actually has a good business administration program; furthermore, ucr gives you the opporutnity to be a big fish in a small pond- while some of your fellow classmates may be apathetic, it really gives an ambitious person an opportunity to shine- join clubs and remain active in them, get buddy-buddy with your tas, etc. also, you WILL meet some great, like minded people if you look for them! also, since most of the campus area is devoted to the sciences and genetically engineered citrus fields, you dont have to walk much since the humanities buildings are all centrally located. plus the gpa and reccomendations you can build up at ucr can help you get into a stellar grad school in the future.

nothing helps more than a trip down there. Riverside itself is an impoverished area whereas Davis is safe bicycle-town. Though you will probably find more diversity in Riverside.. its about 50 miles till los angeles, so think about whether or not that becomes a problem when sacramento is about 10 miles from davis.. It depends if you see yourself growing by staying within campus boundaries or outside of them, good luck

My friend that wants to share an apartment with me is willing to drive to LA frequently if we get too bored of Riversde. He has connections to club promoters, import car scene, etc. I've visited both campuses and I like UCR cause it's diverse and about a 1 1/2 drive from LA. UCD has the Mondavi center and ARC, but overall I hear it's pretty boring if your not into parties. I don't like Sacramento either :)...

Yes, UCD is very boring. I'm in my dorm typing this b/c I have nothing better to do!

However, I still do believe that UCD is better than Riverside.
