Hello! I was recently admitted to UCR and UCSC majoring in Biology. I was also admitted in CSUF, CPP, and CSULA. However I think I would prefer one of the UC’s instead because I heard they have a better program. Which is the best university for me if I plan on attending medical school? Thank you.
The UC’s because they are research institutions and offer better research opportunities. They are also a little more competitive than the CSU’s.
I think UCR would be the better choice since they recently opened a Medical school and there are more hospitals in the surrounding area than Santa Cruz for volunteer/internship opportunities. Visit both campuses just to make sure they are a good fit. Happy students have a better chance of succeeding.
