D is accepted at both and we are trying to decide between the two. With merit and need based FA they will have the same oop cost. She is undecided as for a major and is interested in full on campus college experience including Greek life. We are located in California about 1 hour from uc riverside so that will be convienent for home on weekends. Where can I compare ranking and statistics?

I know people involved in greek life at both schools, and all are very happy. Be aware that the range of student abilities at UofA is likely greater than that of UCR simply because there are only three state schools in Arizona. If you’d like to compare statistics here’s UA’s common data set http://oirps.arizona.edu/files/Cds/CDS_2012-13.pdf and here’s UCR’s CDS: [Strategic Academic Research & Analysis: Common Data Set 2012-13 Section A](<a href=“Institutional Research |”>Institutional Research |) For the money, I’d argue that UA offers a more complete college experience. Also, because so many Californians attend UA, it’s not hard to find a ride to and from the school during the holidays, so in this instance I’d discount travel cost since the cost of gas is often split four ways.

Definitely be out to U of A, especially if looking for a more holistic college experience.

Arizona would provide a more full college experience because of the big Div I sports and stuff.

I don’t think that the student body would be that much different at the two schools since the UCs weight GPA more than test scores, and UC-R is a lower tier UC.

UCR would give less of a “full college experience”, IMO.
