I receive a email today telling me to check the tag status and this is what i got. Does anyone if if this means approve or deny?

Congratulations Future Highlander! You’ve made an excellent choice in submitting your TAG to UC
Riverside; ranked 35th in the world and 29th in North America in Leiden University’s (2013) survey
of the 500 top universities.

Please complete the recommended “Next Steps” to ensure your guarantee for fall 2015.

Next Steps

•Apply to UC Riverside at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply during the November 1-30, 2014
priority application period for fall 2015.

•Indicate your TAG submission to UC Riverside on the UC transfer application. Remember that your
transfer admission guarantee is only applicable for the primary major you indicated on your TAG form.

•Complete 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units by the end of spring 2015.

•Complete the second UC-transferable English course with a grade of C or better by the end of spring
2015.

•Complete all required UC admission coursework, including major preparation (if applicable) for your
chosen major by the end of spring 2015. View major preparation requirements at www.assist.org

•Maintain an overall minimum 3.0 GPA in all UC-transferable course work and major preparation
through the end of spring 2015.

•Complete the Academic Update Request by January 31, 2015. You must provide your final grades from
the previous term and list all courses in progress or planned for the term before you expect to
enroll. Even if you do not have any in-progress or planned courses and your record of course grades
was complete in your original application, you must log in to your application and complete the
Transfer Academic Update.

Please note UC Riverside will review your TAG application and notify you of your transfer admission
decision in March.

Students who do not meet UC Riverside’s TAG criteria may still be competitive for admission to UC
Riverside as a general transfer applicant. If, for any reason, you are unable to meet the conditions
of the TAG, an offer of admission will depend on your completion of transfer admission requirements
and selectivity in the applicant pool.

Thank you for submitting your TAG application to UC Riverside and hope to see YOU in the fall!
