UCR Transfer 2017

I just called UCR. They said transfer admissions will be released in the beginning of April.

“Excited? That’s really great to see. Check back tomorrow for your decision at three! (Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 3:00PM PST)”
That’s exactly what it says on the UCSB portal when you try to log in.
I guess we’ll be waiting for UCR for a while, what’s annoying is that I’m pretty sure the admission decisions have been made, they’re just having difficulty releasing them? idk

Well I’ve been patient but I’m just irritated now. See y’all end of April when my deadline to register to CSUSB comes up and we still don’t have our decisions for UCR lmao. I need to let CSUSB know by May 1st or they give my spot away and at this rate I may not even know if I’m accepted to UCR or not.

@thesleepystudent I feel you :frowning:

@futurelawyer88 I was referring to UCR lol

I cant believe they pushed admission to April! That really sucks!

If y’all were hoping to get admissions before Highlander Day, they said no to that as well. Because all transfer admissions begin in April, not everyone will know in time for Highlander Day. If you want to see the campus after being admitted, you’d have to schedule a campus tour on your own.

Okay I’m confused as to why everyone is upset about not hearing before highlander day when the invitation for Highlander days says “for admitted AND PROSPECTIVE” students? So if you really want to go then go?

I guess some of us don’t want to waste our time if we don’t even know if we’re accepted or not. personal preference.

I suggest you don’t visit Riverside unless you have to

I’ve visited the campus, it’s nice. lol I’ve toured a few UC’s and CSU’s.

i grew up basically living on the campus for most of my childhood so i know the campus already, i would just be going to highlander day for the “orientation” aspect of it

Has anyone been rejected yet ?

No ones found out anything yet. Come back in April.

My deadline to register to Cal Poly Pomona is May 1st so it really sucks that most of the uc’s probably won’t give me a decision until the end of April

I live like twelve miles from ucr. Riverside is not that bad lol (just kind of)

@brpere1175 Riverside is great if you’re into dirt biking and snowboarding. It’s a quick and easy drive to either of those. I’m in LB and I don’t know about the campus but I know the area. I fill like you have a better chance of “falling in love” with the campus vs the area. It’s a commuter area like any surrounding cities of LA. It’s just not next to a beach.

Decision still pending. Anyone get in for UCSB?

I’m still pending for UCR and UCSB

I got in for Statistical Science @thatguyO
