I’m in the same boat, i applied as a soc major and they haven’t requested for my transcripts either. starting to get worried
Has anyone with a Theater, Film and Digital Production major got their decisions yet?
Some individuals have asked Life at UCR some questions:
Question # 1: Hi, I was wondering how exactly does the rolling decisions work. I’ve been logging in and still my application says it’s under review. All my friends who applied have already gotten accepted. Does this mean I was rejected?
UCR’s response: Admissions decisions are going out on a rolling basis throughout this month for freshman applicants and throughout April for transfer applicants. Keep checking your portal!
Question # 2: It’s been a week, and i still have not heard back from the admissions decisions. Does that mean I’m rejected?
UCR’s response: No, that does not mean you’re rejected! Admissions decisions are going out on a rolling basis throughout this month for freshman applicants and throughout April for transfer applicants.
Hopefully more acceptances will be put on MyUCR this week/month.
@mersyno1 Congratulations on your acceptance! How did you find out who your admission counselor is?

I talked to an admissions counselor today at my CC’s college fair and they told me not to worry if they have not made an admission decision yet. They told me the process is completely random and they only review 100 applications each day in total. So the only thing to do is keep waiting and you should receive a decision.
That’s not possible. They wouldn’t be able to finish in that pace.
That’s what an admission counselor told me. Im not sure if she told me the truth or not but just sharing the info she provided me.
When my husband logged into MyUCR it says the same message “your application is being reviewed for an admission decision” but there are only two tabs. He only has the account home and profile tabs and nothing else on the page. Does anyone else have this on their portal ?
@lovepinkk98 I have the same thing on my portal as well.
@Taudins He still has the two tabs only as of 3:27 PST. Maybe decisions will come out soon.
@lovepinkk98 Yeah, I’m ready to find out either way so I can move on with life, lol. I mean, there’s other decisions but I will at least use the UCR decision as a gauge of probability. I’ll post whatever happens on my end.
@Taudins I personally understand how you feel. I got waitlisted/rejected from UCR for Fall 2016 and I was devastated. I decided to enroll at my local community college and from the beginning, I did my best to make sure I could transfer to UCR. I finally got admitted last week, however, my husband and I are waiting for his admission decision. We are really worried because we don’t have a back-up plan if he doesn’t get admitted. I am literally checking his portal every hour. All we need is to know whether or not he got in so we can move on.
@lovepinkk98 you guys didn’t apply to any other schools together?
@Taudins Unfortunately, no because at that time, we both of tagged. However, we failed a class and decided to change our majors in MyUCR to see if what would happen. Our tag was voided after we changed our major.
Well all we can do is wait like good little applicants for our academic gatekeepers to notify us, at their whimsy, of their decision. Best of luck to you guys!
@Taudins Thank you! Good luck to you as well.
Still waiting! A bit worried since my GPA isn’t the highest and I previously attended a 4-year university.
