***UCR TRANSFER DECISIONS/DISCUSSION 2018***

What a great day for me. Got accepted into both Riverside and SLO.

tried to submit a housing application but keep getting access denied. Already submitted my sir should I wait a day or two or contact them immediately

@fpk1210 I tried applying for housing too and it said denied before my SIR was processed. Once your SIR is processed, your MyUCR home page will mention “We have received your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR)! We’re excited you chose UC Riverside! Now that you are a UC Riverside student, you’ll need to REGISTER for Mandatory HIghlander Orientation for Transfers as soon as possible.” After that appears in your portal (mine took around 3 business days), it will let you submit your housing application.

Which also quick question to you guys. I’ve noticed that they are asking me for my high school transcript although Im a transfer student from cc. And that my class level is registered as a freshman. Why is that? Is that just until they receive a final transcript?

Which on another side note. For all those that want already got accepted and are planning to attend we should all exchange some type of contact info. That way we all have a few friends starting the year to meet up and hang out when school starts.

@fpk1210

I will send u info.

@fpk1210 According to UCR Transfer FAQ:

I am a transfer applicant, why do I have to send you my high school transcript?

You must submit your official final high school transcript if you are required to meet freshman eligibility criteria as a lower-division transfer student with less than 51.0 transferable quarter units. Also, one way to clear the campus American History and Institutions degree requirement is by submitting an official final high school transcript verifying the completion of an appropriate year long course (two semesters) of US History with C grades or better or one semester of appropriate US History course work and one semester of appropriate US Government course work with C grades or better.

@fpk1210 I was also requested my high school transcripts and I asked my UCR admission counselor if there was a problem since I will have the 60 transferable units by the end of Spring 18 (not 51.0). She said that it was needed because I do not have a US history class or Spanish semester from Riverside City College. Other than that, everything was fine in respect to the 60 unit transferable units.

nothing yet
will i get in to UCR or UCI ?

Just got an alert on my app. I applied for biochem, but I only took classes to fulfill major prep for computational bio at UCLA(I know pretty dumb). They pretty much said I needed to take the second half of Ochem so “the evaluation of your application will be completed and an admission decision will be made”. I have five days to enroll, but I doubt that’ll happen because its Ochem over summer haha. So pretty much the end of that.

@Hoomanhsk

You will not get into UCI. Your chances for UCR are also very low. Your chances for UC Merced are also very low.

Considering that you do not have Igetc done, and not all pre-reqs done, I doubt you will get into any of the UC’s.
