I'm going to start applying to these schools soon, but my GPA is terrible. What are my chances at these schools with a 2.9 GPA, 1810 SAT (550 math, 660 writing, 600 critical reading), and 26 ACT? I'll be taking subject tests in Chem, Math 2c, and Us History this Saturday. I have decent Ec's and a pretty solid essay. Chances?

I’m not trying to be mean but, UCs require a 3.0 to even qualify, let alone meet the competitive thershold. Unless you meet their ELC top 9% threshold, UCs are out.

Unless you live in LBs local service area, you’d need much better stats (a 3.3-3.4 CSU GPA with your test scores) . Think about Sonoma, SJSU (depending on major), Sac State and maybe Humboldt or Monterey in N Cal. For So Cal, Maybe San Marcos, Channel Islands.

It depends what you want to do…

Use those tools to calculate your CSU GPA and CSU Index. It will be really helpful understanding which schools you qualify for.
