right now im torn between ucsb and ucr... i plan on doing premed. which school would be better for premed? any advice for me would be GREATLY appreciated because now im stressing over this choice. also i got the chancellors scholarship for ucr and im eligible for its honors program... please help :(

A teacher from my high school who graduated from UC Berkeley told us that UC Riverside has the best 8-year Medical Program out of all the UCs. UCSD just started their 8-year program I think, and UCLA probably has one too…or was it a nursing program? (not sure)

Take UCR, since you have that Chancellor’s Scholarship and Eligibility for the Honors Program. I think it’s probably less competitive at UCR than UCSB. (This is according to my friends who go those schools)

I think it’s better to take advantage of both the scholarship and honors program for UCR, than to have nothing (I’m assuming you didn’t get such things from UCSB) for UCSB. You pay less! But then again, this is just my opinion; in the end, you’re the one who makes the final decision. Best of luck to whatever you end up choosing! (:
