Which is a better school? All my major classes are already full at ucr :/

What’s your major?

This is a really vague question because UCR and Cal Poly Pomona have lots of differences. One school might have a better program for your major or offer more financial aid than the other, which might make it “better,” but other than that, it’s really a matter of preference.

If you’re concerned about your major classes, keep in mind that registration is tough for anyone who isn’t an honors student during their first quarter. Freshmen and transfer students register after everyone else already attending UCR has registered, which means you have to rely on classes your adviser might have reserved, and anything else that’s available. It gets better after your first quarter.

For business and engineering, Cal Poly is better.
