UCR vs CSUSM - Business Accounting major

Hello guys,

Recently I just got admitted to UCR (Business Administration, B.S) and CSUSM (Business Accounting, B.S.). I don’t know where I should I go to. It would be great if I can hear some feedbacks.

UCR:
Pros:
It belongs to UCs system
Bigger school, bigger community

Cons:
It costs more, and I don’t live in the Riverside county.

CSUSM
Pros:
Cheaper, and I live in the area

Cons:
It is not a big school, or you can say that it’s not a “UCs”

I don’t know whether the program is good at either these choices. Please help me with some more ideas before I submit my SIR.

Do you want to love home or go away ? If you live near or at home, is it really going to college ?

I don’t think UCR has cache. I do think it’s AACSB accredited whereas San Marcos Isn’t.

Have you checked for outcomes and recruiting in general at both ?

To me, I’d go to Riverside. CSUSM is a lower level CSU, it’s not yet accredited, and frankly, unless you have serious medical or cost limitations, you grow by going to college and partaking, not by living home. I’m assuming UCR will have better career outcomes too although you should check that.
