I'm a cc student and want to major in physics, but want to be a astrophysics career.
But my issue is, which of this two schools is better when it comes to physics, but astrophysics. I know UCI has a lot of rep, but UCR is doing well, their getting better.
and like i said i want to be an astrophysicist.

2 minutes of google gave me the following information:

UCR has 4 astrophysics professors and offers two electives related to astrophysics.

UCI has 9 professors doing pure astrophysics (+4 in related fields; whatever that means) plus a whole concentration with about 5 elective classes related to astrophysics.

if you’re talking about astrophysics, go to UCSC. UCSC is the best UC school for astrophysics.

Ucsc is a way cooler place to do yer bs then ms at uci or ucr or whatever. Ucsc has great science depts plus optics n robotics etc. Ucsb also has cool physics dept and by the beach too.

never thought of UCSC…
gonna do my research again.
Thanks
