UCR came thru with a regent's award (full tuition) :O, but it's too early to know about my other choices. If you wanted to study engineering and were smart, but not brilliant (i don't think UCB is possible), and you got into UCLA, UCI, or UCD WITHOUT Regent's, what would you do? I've got some private school options too, but $40K-$50K is a ton of $$$$$.

i guess it depends where you fit in. I personally think you shouldn't use up that extra load of cash on privates though!

Hm, I have a question. My regent's award stated that it was 5,000 per year. O_O Not full tuition. Does your say that?

sorry, can't check it anymore. i can still log into my account at ucr, but everything is zero'd out.

Oh, haha. I didn't even notice that you're from last year :)
Do you think they just decreased the package then? Because I just got regents for 09-10, and it says 5000

Yeah, I got 5,000, too.

Regents will allow you to have a full ride to a UC if your EFC indicates that you cannot pay for college; it's one of the perks of being Regents.

5k is probably the "basic" scholarship -- meaning, either your EFC is too high or you didn't turn in your FAFSA.

I got a 5k scholarship and like 13k in grants, but the price is still uber high for being UCR...

I'm OOS btw lol
