uc's accept GED, right?

so I applied last fall to four UC's, and I'm a one-year transfer meaning that I got out of hs in 2009. However, since I spent my senior year in Germany as a foreign exchange student, there was a lot of hoopla over transferring the courses I took there. basically they told me I could but my hs still hasn't processed my graduation and I've been there and asked them literally ten times. My counselor is on maternity leave etc etc. Anyways, I'm pretty tired of it and I plan on taking the GED exam sometime within the next two weeks. Should I call and tell admissions before I get my cal, davis, and la decisions (already got into sd), or would they accept a GED if I get accepted even though I put that I was a hs grad in limbo?

muchas gracias, sorry for bad grammar, i'm sick and too lazy to capitalize

yeah they’ll accepted it.

I have a GED, and yes, they’ll take it even now. It’s the equivalent to the diploma after all.

emil, how soon after you took the test did you get your results?

I asked UCSD admissions and they told me that you don’t have to even submit the GED when getting accepted is this true? Or is it true for all UC’s I should say…

My provisional contracts with the UCs that’ve accepted me so far all asked for HS transcripts. It’s easy enough; if you get a GED, they let you download the official transcript off ged123.org, so I think you’d just have to email it to the UC. Bookworm, I got my results about three days after taking the test.
