should I even consider applying to ivies or am I just being completely unrealistic?

Ivies don't sound realistic here. If you did less well at boarding school, it says your public isn't very rigorous and even at the top preps, only the top go ivy. A 2250 plus might put you in the running.

You should be in at NYU, GW and schools in that range.

I basically love that we post on each other's manic college posts! You're totally in, and apply to ivies. You'll write a really great essay and it will get you in.
Danya

Danya, you're not doing anyone a favor by posting fantasy posts. Find me an unhooked candidate who got into ivies with a 3.6/2000 because their essay was good! I'd rather be realistic now when there is still an opportunity to change the list rather than face a lot of thin envelopes in April.

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCSB/UCD: Safe Match
NYU: Match
Pomona/Columbia: Reach (you have the stats, but they're reaches for all of us...)

UCSD Somewhat of a reach
UCSB Slight Reach (I know people say it's a safe match, but UCSB is pretty damn difficult to get into. I know many people with 3.8-4.0s who got in, and people with GPAs under this who did not.)
UCDAVIS You're in.
BC Not sure, sorry.
GEORGE WASHINGTON Also not sure
NYU Not sure
SANTA CLARA U Match
UCLA Reach. UCLA is 4.0 and above, for the most part.
WASHU Not sure
BROWN Not sure, reach.
POMONA Again, not sure
UCBERKELEY Slight reach, but very possible.
DUKE Don't know
