Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I was wondering, do UCs look at your senior year grades and calculate them within your UC GPA?

Thanks

No, your UC GPA is based only on your grades in your sophomore and junior years. They do ask for your Midyear Report though.

Oh, so if I am doing a bit worse than I was in junior year based on the Midyear Report, (like for example, having a 4.15 instead of 4.3), would the UCs care at at all?

^ I don’t think they would. As it stands, a 4.15 is a pretty good GPA.

Sorry to be so bothersome, but I just have one more question.

I currently have 3 B’s and 3 A’s in my senior year, and that amounts to a 4.15 because I have an A in an honors class, while the rest of the B’s are in AP classes. (3 APs, 1 Honors)

However, in junior year, I only had 1 B and 5 A’s, which amounts to a 4.3 because I got a B in only 1 AP class in 2nd semester junior year. (I took 3 AP classes, 2 of which i got A’s).

My question is, how big of an impact will my senior year GPA have on chances of being accepted into a UC, seeing how I have so many more B’s this semester than I did last semester?

Thanks for being so patient.

I think you’re okay. The change isn’t so drastic – going from 1 B to 3 isn’t likely to hurt you. It’s mainly the UC GPA they focus on.
