chance me back please.

Thanks! I actually want to be a Physician Assistant but close enough :)

First of all thanx for replying to my post.
Well I think your high school classes and GPA are pretty good. Your ECs and community work is good too. But I think you should have done better on your SAT subject tests! by the way, what is your SAT score?

Here is what i think:
UCSB- you got it!
UCSD- match/ low reach
UCLA- high reach
USC- match
I would also suggest you should apply to UC Davis. I has good science programmes.

I would also appreciate if you went back to my post. I have a few more questions! thanx :)

since your African american you’ll get accepted into all those schools.

271093, too late to apply to more UCs, lol. And I didn’t take the SAT

JBieber, do the UCs use URM as a decision factor? I thought state schools weren’t allowed to or something.

I think all are matches. UCLA, maybe high match/low reach. Good luck!

shameless bump…

UCSB: match
UCSD: match to high match
UCLA: high match low reach
USC: match

Academics=big +, I have heard about this program!
Minority=+
I’m pretty conservative, so you probably are actually in for most of these places!

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1052903-chance-me-jhu-gt-mit-vt.html

Thanks and good luck!

jainap, thank you for chancing me but i do not know enough about those schools to return the favor ): sorry!

UC’s do not consider URM status in admissions process.

Your scores and GPA are not particularly competitive for UCLA, and since they don’t consider URM, I’d say it’s a bit of a reach. It seems good enough for the other UCs, and I believe USC might take into consideration the URM, which is probably enough to make up for the GPA and scores.

Yeah, I know my sat2s are a little low for LA, but i was hoping the above average act would even it out. Oh well, USC is my second choice anyways :)

USC more likely admit than UCLA

I don’t know if it makes any difference in my chances, but for the UCs my essays were on:

1) living with a disabled parent

2) the new visions health careers exploration program

For USC I used only the 2nd essay about the New Visions program

your course load isnt that rigorous.

good luck

Jman, did you read about the special program I’m doing this year?
