Thank you for reading through all of this, and sincere feedback would be greatly appreciated! Also, what are my chances for receiving scholarships...?

haha...i say ur in for all UC's..you know whats weird..ur UC GPA is higher than your regular GPA. haha..same here ..my UC GPA was 4.6 but my reg. GPA was 4.3....stupid freshman year

Speaking of extracurriculars, I attended several UCI Biology lab lectures for upper-classmen, because I knew the TA of the course personally and he let me engage in the procedures and topics. I received valuable experiences from working in that lab. Also, I was fortunate enough to use the high-tech equipment in there for my science fair project, such as the differential centrifuge, calibrated micropipettes, and digital spectrophotometer. I included the above in my application and essays, but just forgot to mention it in the previous post.

O and for those of you not in California, University High School is a very famous and renowned public high school in Irvine, California. For example, our school beat Troy High (magnet science and tech IB school) last year in the Science Bowl, and placed behind Troy at County and State Science Olympiad. And Newsweek ranked University High as #53rd in the nation, ahead of similar top schools in California such as Torrey Pines (75), Palos Verdes Peninsula (88), Troy (93), and Saratoga (143). (http://www.csh.k12.ny.us/highschool/data/TheTopHighSchools.htm) The competition is undoubtedly very tough. Given the facts that I am an Asian American male, and our school typically accepts 50 UCB and 70 UCLA each year, can anyone assess or reassess my chances of getting in and, if possible, with any kinds of scholarships?

tgbyhnasdf... I have some friends that go to Uni. A freshman and a sophmore... although being the big school that it is, you probobly do not know them.

i go to a high school in the same area as you (lake forest) and university high school is known for being one of the best academic schools in the area

Go Troy! Haha, all our money comes from grants and what not. We're supposed to be a tech school, and most of our computer labs have sticky keyboards and ball mice. But we've got some nerds here. Irvine has a lot of money doesn't it? I bet it must be hard at University. Maybe that's why they called it University High School? I think you'll get into any UCs, IMVHO. Don't worry so much. Worry about which one you're going to go to after you get accepted to all of them.

Rich? lol actually, what the teachers always complain about is that, yes the Irvine residents' income is above average, but since it's a public school, the money/taxes doesn't necessarily go to Irvine-only projects. therefore, the residents are paying more taxes than most, but the tax dollars aren't directly contributing to Irvine schools; the taxes are being distributed EVERYWHERE, not just Irvine...
a couple of years ago, Uni High had to have a major fundraiser just to save our counselors....yeah
