<p>good list?
okay, i've made this same thread like 4 times in two different forums and i have yet to really get any responses... so here i go again. i need to start apps so i need to get my final list together.</p>

<p>Korean American at a very well-known and competitive public high school in Northern California. First-generation, first in family to go to college.</p>

<p>SAT IIs:
English: 720
Math 2: 640 (will retake and i'm confident i'll do much better, i'm also going to take the Korean test, too)</p>

<p>ACT:</p>

<p>Eng 36, Essay 10, Math 31, Reading 36, Science 28, Composite 33</p>

<p>GPA: not sure how to calculate but about 3.4???</p>

<p>In at American, with merit-aid, no doubt, about a 31 is necessary for it, and you got a 33, you'll probably even have a shot at the Honors program there. It's good to see someone that wants to go to AU so badly, I think the school is amazing, and if I don't get into Tufts or BC, I'll probably go there too, good luck!</p>

<p>^ Yeah, honestly, your ec's are interesting, like the assistant to the professor, and recording music, your ACT is great, your GPA isn't astronomical, but it's certainly sufficient for American.</p>

Carnegie Mellon - Reach, not so big of one though
Ithaca - Safety</p>

<p>Loyola Marymount - In, with merit
Northwestern - definite reach, good shot if you apply ED though</p>
