Hi Loki,

UCSD: Slight Reach
You have good SAT IIs and your SAT 1 score will be right on par with other applicants. However, your low GPA will really, really hurt you. Also, your extracurriculars will not make you stand out from other applicants.

UCD: Slight Reach/Match
As said above, you have a good SAT 1 and SAT II scores - however, your low GPA may hurt you here.

UCI: Match/Slight Reach
If this will even be a slight reach, it will be very, very slight. Again, your SAT scores are good enough for this tier school, but your GPA may hurt you.

UCSB: Match/Safe Match
Your excellent SAT II scores and high SAT score will help you get into this one. Your GPA will not hurt you that badly here.

UCR: Safety
Well, I've pretty much said it all : )

Good luck!

Personally I think you should have applied to UCLA.

Wouldn't UCLA be too high a reach for me...? -_-

And my ACT score is roughly 2170 if translated to SAT. Hopefully that'll help? =P

yeah UCLA is out of the picture with ur GPA. UCLA has groupings 4.0 above (40 percent of ppl get in fro thi group) 3.7-3.99 *17 percent) and 3.5-3.69 (8 percent). Your groupin gis 4 percent for UCLA. ur a slight reach at UCSD. I think u might get in and ur ACT/Sat 2's would be ur saving grace but your weighted UC Gpa is crippling. UCI/UCD you should make; but UCSD is a coin flip

L0ki:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Match
UCR: Safe Match

Bump. By the way, hella kudos to you flopsy. You're really helpin out the forum. =]

If your GPA were 3.8 or above, UCLA would be a definite match for you given your high ACT score. The avg. SAT is around 2000 for both UCLA and UCB.
