UCs, CSUs, and 3 private schools...is this enough?

I’m applying to all of the UCs (a mix of reach, target, and safety), 3 CSUs (all safety), and 3 private schools: Middlebury and Pomona (high reach) and Occidental (low reach/target). Is this enough? Do I need more private schools? I’m done with my apps and it feels too easy, like I should be doing more work :stuck_out_tongue:

People keep saying I should add more schools, but the UCs are 9 schools in one app and it seems adequate to me.

If you think I should add more, what other private schools would you recommend? Thanks !_!

If you have a balanced list and are happy attending one of your safety schools, you are fine.

Rather than more schools per se, it’s essential you feel comfortable you’ve included the right schools.

I have no idea why someone would say you need more schools. You essentially have 15. Each of my children applied to 5.

As long as you have affordable safeties that you are happy to attend, then you need not add more schools. (But some posters on these forums have made the mistake of assuming something was a “safety” when it was not.)

OP does have 15 schools, but it may not seem like as many due to needing only 5 applications.
