I'm applying to:

USC
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSB
UCI

Ha... Bump?

your sat is really holding you back...

USC: Reach
UC Berkeley: Reach
UCLA: Reach
UCSB: High Match
UCI: Match

Gah, I know. I felt horrible for a few days when I got those results back. But I'm hoping I do better on the ACT. If not, then not.

Thank you!

Slightly weak GPA for the top UCs, good rank, weak scores and ECs, though good leadership. URM status will help some, but not a lot.

Berkeley: reach
UCLA: reach
USC: slight reach - reach
UCSB: safe mach - safety (ELC)
UCI: safe match - safety (ELC)

Probably in at UCSB/UCI because of ELC, although SAT is low. Not in at the rest. Best of luck!

Thank you!

Are you retaking the SAT I in December?--because you only need about another 100 points total to probably be a good candidate for USC. You'll need about 150 points for UCSD--and about 200 for UCLA/UCB.

At least 80-100 points is possible if you take the time to study for the math test. Get out the "Real SAT tests" and start practicing--because you can really improve your chances for these schools if you do.

Nah, just ACT in December. I've been studying my arse off, but who knows, right?

Thank you!

What is the average SAT score for USC?
