@rejectoflife if only confidence could get you into a dream college, I’d be in Harvard by now. Alas they all look at the grades and everything else also :wink:

@CopperlineX2 i know right! i just really want to really get the grants that it says i got

Rip I got like no money

I’ll have to pay 60k a year if I wanna go here. Frickkkkk

how long does it take to be accepted into the official fb group?? i just now sent a request

Is it true that if you didn’t show any MAJOR hardships then the UC’s won’t like your essays as much?

@rejectoflife what did you talk about in your essays?

anybody receive a promise scholars letter? anybody know if they’re still sending them out?

@collegelehigh what is the official UCSB fb page?

its call UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) Class of 2022 (Official Group)

@usot00 ^

@collegedreamer167 I dont think so. I wrote about a huge project that I worked on, a retreat I went on that changed my view on the world, building ikea furniture with my mom when she got divorced and moved, and overcoming my anxiety. While the last two sound like hardships, they were not at all sob stories. I don’t even know if I mentioned the divorce, just building with my mom. And my anxiety definitely wasn’t tragic, I just talk about not understanding why I used to act up and feel differently about life then my brother did.

Anyone have any tips or info on what my experience would be like trying to get a BB or sales and trading job in the LA financial district if I attended UCSB?

Hey guys! I’m filing an appeal for UCSB this year but I heard that the chances of acceptance for the appeal is only possible when they actually have more room left but based on this year’s stats…does it look like every spot at SB will be filled up?

Not every spot will be filled, because many of those that applied will go with other colleges. I would only appeal if new information can be presented. Are you on the waitlist?

Funny – my son was admitted, too, and he can see it on the web site but has not received an email.
