Has anyone heard from UCSB yet?
I’m an in state applicant going for a film major.
GPA 3.73 W, 3.55 UW and ACT 28.
Lots of extra curriculars (ASB office every year, anchor, editor and director for school news show, invented a product/business owner, host beach volleyball tournaments and work part time as a volleyball coach).
This is the only UC I applied for and I’m hoping to get in! Worried about my GPA and ACT score!
I got a letter from UC SB yesterday saying i got Regents
GPA 3.79 UW ACT 32 SAT 2 Bio 740
Havent heard anything yet ( no regents/chancelor)

Second Choice Major: Pre-Economics (College of Letters and Science)

SAT II: none sent
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
Rank/percentile (if available): N/A
AP (place score in parenthesis): Macroeconomics (4), Microeconomics (4)
IB (place score in parenthesis): –
Senior Year Course Load: AP Calculus BC, AP English Literature, AP Environmental Science, AP Human Geography, Spanish III
Any chance of getting regents if you haven’t already been notified?
@Katecat27 I have the same stats as the above poster, and I have received nothing yet. Mail takes a while to get to me though (reception invite took 10+ days to arrive after people started posting about it).

Hey guys, I figured I should let you know that I was not notified my mail. I go to a boarding school and received nothing, so I assume they did send a package to my home.
However, I was notified via email a few days ago. It said that the email was a “Preliminary notification of acceptance.” They also said all decisions would be posted on March 22 but didn’t specify if this for non-Regents only.

Is it possible to get the regents scholarship if you got the chancellor’s invite? Is it too late to receive a notification for the regent’s scholarship?

I got the chancellor’s reception invite a couple weeks ago. Based on what I read so far. Basically I got admitted
4.15 W GPA/3.85 UW GPA
27 ACT
1990 SAT
Major: Biology
Lots of EC (Key Club, CSF, Teacher Assistant, Kiwanis Division Board, tennis)
Small town in Orange County, CA
did anyone get an email from their admissions counselor introducing themselves and another from UCSB informing about the release date?
Yes received counselor email on Mon and other yesterday
San Jose chancellor’s reception tomorrow! Hope to see some of you there (even though the rain is hell, making parents drive because I already experienced 2+ hours in it today :P).
Will not be going today (too much weather complications; we wouldn’t be able to get home to feed our dog). Is anyone else planning to post on what happens?
My daughter was invited to the reception in San Jose as well! However she is the lead in a play so She won t make it! Please someone confirm to us that the invited students they are in!!
Do you have to open an account in UCSB site for received the preliminary e mail or they will e mail you in the email that you provided ?
