@brokencoconut I didn’t really think i qualified for Santa Barbara with a 3.2 gpa, but i really worked super hard my junior year to raise it. I know I should have been serious my freshman and sophomore year, but I didn’t realize it at all. It didn’t work out for me, but at least I tried all I could. I wish you best of luck on UC Irvine!! @madwing yes, i thought CCS would declare results separately but it said CCS Bio on the main UCSB portal. I wish you and your son the best of luck. CCS Physics is easily one of the top 5 programs in the country.
Did anyone on here get accepted to San Jose State Uni?? I’m attending there next year and I know this is not the right thread to ask it on but why not? Lol

@kayasizzle I literally just looked at my UCI portal and I got waitlisted… That’s 3 now!!! Ughhh. And it’s okay, you’re gonna end up right where you need to be!
@anxiousvegan relax, they wont take away your admission. thats not how it works. they will simply say yes or no to major change

We’ve got our fingers crossed, though we’re still waiting on CMC today, UCB Thursday, and then the ivys… My wife and I would be thrilled (a) if he got into CCS and (b) if he decided it was a good place to go even in the face of any other potential acceptances…I understand how good the physics program is there, I just wish I could get him to see it!

@kayasizzle USC is my top choice, but I’m feeling very discouraged about all this. I have plenty of other schools that have accepted me, so I can’t complain much. they just don’t seem like the right fit.

@brokencoconut Whatever college you have got accepted to, try to go visit them. Which colleges did you visit? I also know without visiting, it is really hard to know which college will be the right fit. I haven’t been to California in years, but I will surely enjoy it. I live in TX right now, and its so boring here. But I dont want to be too up in Cali, or too down by Mexico. I think the city matters the most and if it a good place to be in as a college student. 
If OOS plz say if u applied for aid or not. Would like to know if anyone got in OOS needing aid.
@brokencoconut I 100% agree in state students should have priority but unfortunately you have to look at it from a financial standpoint…these oos students will dump all of their oos tuition money into the school. It sucks for us but its only going to get worse over the years.
