****UCSB Admissions 2021****

@actuallysad The UCSB website says Regents recipients are within the top 2% of admits.

I just read that, but top 2% of admits seems awfully low… could they mean top 2% of applicants?

Did y’all get the invite to register for the Spring Insight Open House?

Yea I did, wondering if they send it to everybody. Would be weird if they did because why would they email it to somebody who might be denied?

I didn’t get any email…Guys u r lucky

No email

Same, should i be worried

My D got a Chancellor invite, but no email about Spring Insight, yet. I wouldn’t worry. Maybe it’s being sent out in waves.

Same I got an invite to the Chancellor’s Reception but didn’t get an email yet. They’re probably send it soon

i wanna go to ucsb so bad, man am i nervous

Well, now I got directly rejected by UCSD, and waitlisted by UCD, it’s time to focus on UCSB. Seriously, my stat, 4.08 UCGPA and 1410 SAT, would be enough. Ha, anyway, I’m afraid of not getting in here

I mean, I wish my stats would be fine for UCSB

Who is going to the Chancellor’s Reception in Costa Mesa today? Please report back!

@HomeWithKevin I got waitlisted from Davis too… uc gpa: 4.16 sat: 1330 what was you major for both schools?

@11akalei11 I applied as an undeclared, not on science department, for both schools.

I guess, lacking ECs and under-average Essays lag me down…

@HomeWithKevin stay positive! each uc looks for different qualities in students. There’s always hope for UCSB  the best of luck to you

For those of you who already attended the UCSB reception, what do you recommend wearing? It is more casual or formal?

@collegekid171 This is from the FAQ re: attire “What should I wear? There is no formal dress code, so please dress comfortably. Most students and their families choose to dress in business casual attire.”
