I can confirm. Decisions are out!

I’m waiting for UC Berkeley. But regardless of that, it’s somewhat unlikely that I will submit my SIR to UCSB.

Just asked a few threads ago for a chance me…
Rejected… shattered…

I GOT IN. so stunned and happy.

Waitlisted

Got in for Pre-Bio into the Letters and Science Honors program

@nervous17yearold…I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Your user name just had me rooting for you!! Congratulations!!!

S got in for English. Stunned and over the moon!

@aandt5 Awww thank you so much! That means a lot. I hope things turned out well for you!

Accepted!

Here is the updated scorecard for my daughter:

Accepted: UCI
Waitlisted: UCSD, UCD
Rejected: UCSB, SLO, SDSU, UCLA
Pending: CSULB, UCB

Getting into UCB is a longshot, at best. In all likelihood, it appears that she will be heading to UCI in the fall. I’m OK with that since all of these schools are great.

As for the rest of you, best of luck. Those with multiple acceptances have a decision to make, but that is a good problem to have. To those who are left disappointed, keep your head up and know that you still have a great future whenever you end up. There is nothing wrong with the CC/transfer route, which is the direction my daughter would be taking if not for the fortune of being accepted at UCI. Best wishes all.

Any transfer students get in yet?

accepted to davis, waitlisted by ucsb. (both CS major)

does that pretty much mean that ucsb is better than uc davis??

rejected. I’m shocked and really sad
GPA: 3.7 UW

@MisterStudentt, no. There’s a fair amount of unpredictability & subjectivity in the admissions process. So I wouldn’t conclude that UCSB is better than UCD. From a high level both are good for CS. My son did not apply to UCD, but just got accepted to UCSB (CS), Rejected from UCSD & UCLA, though.

@MisterStudentt No, they’re very similar. My son was just the opposite of you, waitlisted at Davis and accepted at UCSB.
