Rejected 3.93 GPA and 31 ACT OOS. Already committed to another school and was accepted to several schools that are more highly ranked than UCSB, but this was a bit of a bummer. Also, I was waitlisted at UCSD for those of you who’d like to compare to other campuses. Congrats to everyone who got in!

@MisterStudentt it doesn’t mean anything. Each UC has its own acceptance criteria, and getting into one and not another isn’t necessarily a reflection of the quality of the school. Davis is a great school, and most ranking lists have UCSD, UCI, UCSB, and UCD all at about the same level overall. Getting into any of those schools is a great honor.

14 APs - including Physics C Mechanics & Electromagnetics, Chem, Calc AB and BC, 4s & 5s on seven of them so far, sports as the main ECs
He got into Davis but was waitlisted at UCSD. God knows what’s going on with UCI but don’t care at this point. He also got into SLO and I’m thinking that will be his choice over UCD unless we decide to hope to get off the UCSB waitlist. UCSB was the UC I was really hoping he’d get into.
Denied. I’m so glad I applied to UCSC and was accepted there. Last one is Berkeley which is not going to happen.

@ocmom1000 I’m sure your son will be accepted to Irvine too. I got into Irvine for CS. Just like him-- I got accepted to Davis, waitlisted by UCSD & UCSB too. Mine is diff engineering major though, but I’m assuming it is as selective as EE. Anyway, Good luck!
