@h1pnand3z well, if all ucs accepted based on other uc acceptances that would be corrupt (like just because you got into LA you’d be accepted to SD, Irvine, Davis, sb, etc). the fact that ucsb accepted some with lower stats means that they take the time to read essays and care about extracurriculars.
@h1pnand3z I beg to differ. My GPA is utter shite ngl. But i had some unique stats like creating a Reading Initiative to improve literacy in an underserved community, working two years with my school’s psychologist to take care of handicapped and physically disabled children. I also wrote Health Policy for a local District Council Candidate.
So i whole heartedly believe it was my EC’s and Essays that got me in. Stats aren’t everything folks.
