Accepted!
@wormholes The biggest benefit to Honors is priority registration. You have to maintain a 3.6 GPA, I think take a few honors section classes, and do some volunteer work/community service (10 hours). Engineering has a little different requirements.

@youcee thank you! i was just pretty surprised that i got into the honors program, because as i said, i didn’t receive a reception invite!
@wormholes The priority registration can be a real stress-reducer. You can get a pass time to sign up for classes that can be as much as a week before your friends who aren’t in Honors.
Is there a groupme for accepted students?
@youcee Thank you so much I’ll look into it.
@moholoe, with your scores it’s difficult to understand why you didn’t get accepted into CS. Yes, they say stats only account for 50%, but yours are very good. With those you should be able to get into some really top programs. Where have you got into so far?
Is the financial aid checking thing for Santa Barbara down ?
Wait listed. 3.9 UC GPA, 30 ACT Business/Finance.
I’m ok. Wasn’t super interested. I have some solid options. Accepted at Cal Poly SLO, SDSU (Webers Honors College), UCI, Chapman (Provost scholarship), University of San Diego, Cal Poly Pomona and CSUF. I figured my luck had to run out at some point. Best of luck to all of you accepted. It’s been fun waiting for decisions with all of you.
Any chance for being being accepted??

@dayshine I would very much rather go to UCSD than UCSB. Why are you unhappy with your results? I’m pretty sure UCSD is better…
What exactly is the L&S Honors program???
says “Congratulations, you’re admitted”
@ccwwbb check #601.
Son was rejected.
Not sure what the UCs are looking for. They’ve made a liar out of me. I told my son to take a rigorous courseload (9 APs – all 4s & 5’s on exams), 8 honors classes (all As & Bs), do well (4.15 wgpa), be involved in school (3 sport athlete & MUN) and community (surf instructor for kids in foster care) and runs his own dog care business. Do all that and youll have your choice of schools.
Sorry, son. No UC for you. I lied.
