Who else appealed UCSB as a freshman? does anyone know the odds of getting in through an appeal?

i also appealed. sent in my application on the 15th. I hope i get in, this school was my first choice. but if i don’t, im okay with going to UC riverside, the only other uc i got into.
yeah the odds are pretty slim. I also appealed to UCSC and didn’t get in. But i sent in a different appeal letter to that school so hopefully this will work

I also appealed… anybody know when they usually let people know if the appeal was accepted or not?

^yea if I don’t get into ucsb I’ll be going to ucsd… eventhough ucsb is still my dream school I’ll be okay with ucsd too, college is what you make of it :)

Sent in mine on the 15th, haven’t heard anything. I’ve been checking the portal.

We’ll hear of our appeal decision from the beginning of May till the end. I believe that’s how it went last year for freshman appeals.

It’s so weird cause I keep hearing from kids who appealed to Davis that decisions come out tomorrow. I know all the UC’s have their own little systems but you would think they would all be able to post decisions around the same time.

Last year waitlist/appeal results mostly came out in the first two weeks of May, i guess we can expect the same this year. So it’s not that long anymore, I just want to know already…

Anyone get in through appeal yet?

Son was on waitlist and also filed an appeal. He heard he got in last night through the portal. He is a pre-econ major. The notification did not state whether or not he got in b/c of the appeal (or simply he was in queue from the waitlist).

same here. I also sent in an appeal and was on the waitlist. I got in yesterday, don’t know whether it was because of the appeal or the waitlist.

mine says received - decision pending.

prob wont go even if i get in because i dont want to pay another enrollment and housing deposit.

My appeal got denied. Only chance left is my Irvine appeal. I seriously better get my appeal approved for Irvine. I don’t want to go to SC at all.

at least you got into Santa Cruz. i didn’t even get in there, only riverside. but i am still happy about my acceptance. Honestly Santa Cruz is a good school so be grateful. Its not all about prestige.
