ALSO: What other colleges in California would you recommend for mechanical engineering that match my description?

Thanks

EDIT: Ranked 42/380

bump thread

Both are matches to high matches

I don’t really think you have anything to worry about here… Both schools seem like they would definitely admit you. I would be more surprised if you got rejected to be honest, unless you totally like butcher the essays.

UC Davis, Irvine. I would also add some more CSUs- San Jose State if you live
up north. Have you tried any practice ACTs? You can borrow a practice book
at the library. If you do well, you may want to take that test ASAP. Cal Poly
likes the ACT and I think your projected SAT is what might hold you down.

thanks guys. i was thinking they were both high matches. i was confident in my gpa but not my course rigour. and the average freshman in cal polys engineering is 4.08. i have a 4.09 but im assuming most people have taken a lot more honors and ap classes than i have. and jbourne, i did take a practice ACT and got a 35 in math and around a 31 composite but unfortunately cal poly deadline for ACT is december 1st and earliest i can take it is december 8.

anyone else?
