Congrats @canypava and @svetoy!
My son also received a CCS Physics acceptance email about 2 am. He has spent a day in CCS classes and talking to the professor, and was very impressed.

Accepted to CCS Computing at 2:17 am
Thanks @Ynotgo and congrats to your son as well and all the others with positive news! So cool your son could go over today to see the CCS classes in action!
Still waiting on math…now I’m getting worried.
I was accepted to ccs mathematics at around midnight
My daughter got an offer for Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering yesterday. Then, she was emailed admission offer for Chemistry & BioChemistry in the CCS a bit after midnight. She is at a Middle College High school and will be coming in with over 70 units (including an Associates Degree in Math plus 2 other more general ADs). She has also been offered admission & honors program in the College of Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Still waiting for UC Berkeley. She only applied to three schools. Right now… Mom is rooting for UCSB CCS!
I’m going to assume I was rejected given that people have already heard back from the mathematics department. They don’t release them over a couple of days, do they?
I had never heard of the College of Creative Studies but that is an interesting concept.
@elkieschoof I don’t know how they release decisions, but they might just not have gotten to your application yet. From what I saw (from stalking you a little), you seem to have higher stats than I do in some areas. For the math department, it seems like they really pay attention to whether you seem motivated to learn. Also remember that you can apply later into the program.
@elkieschoof I’m starting to think I got rejected too as a Econ and Accounting major, as my boyfriend who was a transfer got his acceptance into Actuarial Studies the first day of decisions.
@person1235 Thanks for the information (: Holdin out on hope!
My son just got accepted to CCS Physics. He is still awaiting UCB results. Not sure how both will compare as both seem strong. What are the pros and cons for each. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I was admitted by Computing but rejected by Math.
@elkieschoof Have you received your decision letter? If not, maybe it is in the spam folder. I was told by their officers that all decision letter should be sent out by March 24th.
Hope this could help. Good luck.
My son was accepted to CCS Math as well as Honors Math at UCSB. He has decided to attend CCS Math as it is a wonderful program!
Congratulations to all who were accepted, and for those who missed but still plan to attend UCSB, know that you are allowed to 'transfer" as a sophomore.
Wonder if there is a thread for those who plan to attend CCS?! Would love to have both parents and students connect and become familiar now instead of at orientation!
There is a GroupMe texting group link on one of the CCS threads from the last couple of months. It is for students from what I hear. Take a peek through & I’m sure you’ll find it. Good luck!
Oops! I should’ve read the rules more closely! The link was not allowed. When I posted it was deleted (sorry Admins!) so I’m sure that is where the post I’d seen went.
