Hi all - I know there are myriad threads about UCSB’s CCS physics program, but none address this concern: is there any point in transferring into the program (i.e., from community college) as distinct from entering into it as a freshman? It seems to me that most of the advantages of CCS, like establishing connections with professors and gaining access to research opportunities, are realized during the freshman and sophomore years. Or am I wrong?
I have this question, too. Giving it a bump!
I would say from the point of view of getting pre-reqs completed conveniently and not paying tuition to do that, the CCC is best. But @ucbalumnus is the expert in this field.
