UCSB chances?

Okay so I applied to UCSB and UCLA (99% sure i wont get in here)
Out of State student

Here are my stats:

GPA: 4.51 W–>:: UC calculated: 4.07. unweighted is a 3.83.

SAT: Sadly, they do not super score which leaves me at a 1280.

Rank: 127/490.
I attend a VERY competitive school in the top in my state. My school has an IB program (all IB kids ranked w/ everyone else), which I was unable to apply for because I transferred into said school in 10th grade. It was not recommended I applied for IB because of this weird course thing at my old school involving a different ciriculum? (IDK… )

AP scores: 5 on AP Euro, 3 on AP world. 2 2’s on APUSH and APES (Not gonna send the 2’s in :frowning: )

Senior course load: AP Human Geo, AP Psych, AP stats, Honors English 12, Honors Physics, Honors accounting (had to take CTE… a private school I applied to required I take 1 CTE), Advanced Ceramics 3, Honors Anatomy, Honors German 4

APs: I have 4 APs from sophomore and junior year… I have 3 senior making 7 APs total. I have taken 24 honors/AP level courses total between 9th and 12th grade

ECs: Model UN at an Ivy League School: led group delegation (10 and 11)
Track and Field: discus and jumper (9-12)
Economics Olympiad (10-12)
Secretary of “Volunteers club” (11 and 12)
Feminism International Club (10-12)
Took art classes at museum outside school: had several pieces featured in art shows (10-12)
Volunteer at local animal rescues (10-12) (180 hours)
Tutor for other students (9-12)
Archery (9) (our coach had passed away shortly before I moved between 9th and 10th grade; my 9th grade school offered very few ECs)
German club:10-12
French club: 10-12
NHS: 11-12

UCLA and UCSB look at your information holistically. Your gpa is really good and although your SAT is a little low against the competition, your extracurricular activities will more than likely carry your weight. You are a well rounded student who has lots of volunteer hours which shows you are passionate about your community, you have been a leader for major clubs like model UN, and are an athlete. Although you are against in-state students, your high school resume looks to be more than enough to get you into UCSB and even maybe UCLA. I know by nature UCLA is hard to get accepted into but you more than likely will get into UCSB. Don’t doubt yourself with your test scores or high school rankings. I applied to these schools but your ECs make you way more qualified than I am. Good luck with admissions in the next few weeks and be glad you are finally about to finish high school in a few months.

You have a relatively good chance of getting in with all of your ap classes and leadership positions. Your SAT score is not that high but besides that, you fit the criteria. Good luck!
