General Comments: Appealing… it’s one of my number one schools and I know so many people there and fell in love with the campus. Man this burns. I got waitlisted to UCSD but accepted to Davis?

I know Davis took a lot off their wait list last year, but I don’t know about UCSBs. I think the year before THAT it was none, and the year before something like 300. (I looked into it a year ago, and don’t precisely remember.) It depends on how well they gauge the number that will enroll. Good luck!

“Last year, SB admitted roughly 28% of those who accepted a spot on their wait list (563/2002) but that really doesn’t mean much. It varies from year to year.”

Decision: Waitlisted

waitlisted at UCSD, accepted to UCI, UC Davis, and UC Santa Cruz

Just so everyone knows, I called the UCSB office today to ask about appealing and they said they don’t want waitlisted students to submit an appeal, they would rather leave that for denied students. I was waitlisted as well and was planning to appeal but I’m not sure whether to do so anymore. I was waitlisted at SD too and there aren’t really any other schools I want to go to… So frustrating…

If I got a 4.4 weighted GPA in the first semester of Senior year, should I write a appeal letter even though I was waitlisted to show them I am improving?

is it possible to opt out of the waitlist? I signed up for the waitlist but realized that I don’t want to go to ucsb in the end and would rather go somewhere else.

yes, although they were accepted to other schools and UCs, UCD/UCI/UCSD, they all still opted into the waitlist, which makes me kind of mad, my stats are on the header, there stats were mostly stronger than mine

Wow. How did you guys get waitlisted?
