I got the lacrosse email, and my female friend who also got into UCSB received it as well - it was pretty funny.
@couplemoreweeks I have no idea - pretty sure on the website it says they select and automatically admit you. I was admitted into the L&S Honors Program (applied Undeclared L&S). My stats aren’t amazing or anything (31 ACT Composite, two 4s on AP tests), but I think they look for people showing consistently strong grades in challenging classes. Agreed though, it seems sort of random. The site says you can apply into the Honors Program later in your college career when you attend UCSB - it’s not invite only.
