Just got an email from UCSB. Only 22 more days until decisions come out haha! Going to be a long wait until March 22.
Did anyone else receive the “Meet Your UCSB Counselor” email yesterday? Is it a good sign?
I got the Meet Your UCSB Counselor email too! I’m pretty sure everyone gets it though, although I could be wrong.
@ucbound22 and @madsurf I didn’t get it. So maybe, congrats…?
I didn’t get the email but I was invited to the chancellors reception…so I don’t think it’s an indication of acceptance necessarily
I didn’t get either a chancellors reception invitation or a “Meet Your UCSB Counselor” email.
That’s very worrying to me as my stats are higher than the average admitted student’s.
Luckily, we don’t have much longer to wait. I got an email saying that decisions would be released on March 22 at 3 PM PST! That’s definitely not long to wait now.
I’m tired of being patient lol
Same @gonewiththeair 2230SAT 4.2GPA UC UW
Just a few more weeks everyone! Hope to get in for CS with 31 ACT, 4.15 UC GPA, Out of state (missouri)
My new home…
Admitted, was notified at chancellor’s reception for top applicants. SAT 1830 GPA 4.11 EC’s amazing/unique circumstances/accomplishments. First Gen, Chicano, young woman pursuing Global Affairs Degree
Admitted at chancellor’s reception as well. SAT 2020 GPA: 3.4 (did horrible freshman and sophomore year but then straight As junior year with the exception of one course) I had a pretty good personal statement as well that clearly showed my drive and enthusiasm for my major(Computer Science).

@IneffableMind Did you get into CS at UCSD/D/I?
I don’t get it, I have a 4.3 gpa, 1960 SAT, pretty dang good personal statements, and plenty of ECs. Still, I did not receive a chancellors invite, and have been wait listed at Davis and SD and denied at LA. I’m praying that SB will work out…
@mattyicecold what did you apply for?
I think these invitations are only for in-state applicants. SAT 2120, Math II 780, Physics 680, and a near perfect UW GPA (3.96-3.98). I didn’t get any invite.
@Just4Years I didn’t apply to UCSD
@nickstud650, I applied at SD and SB for mechanical engineering and LA and Davis for Civil. I know it’s harder for engineering, but I still know plenty of people with worse stats that are making it in. And I am in state, so I am even more at a loss.
