Do your chances of acceptance decrease as your intended major becomes more competitive at UCSB? I understand that UCSD doesn’t look at the applicant’s intended major in the acceptance process. Does UCSB have the same protocol? Thanks
Look on the admission webpage, in a tab on the page for frosh called “Selection Criteria.”
UCSB does not look at the intended major. All students applying to majors in the same college are judged equally. College of creative studies majors are judged equally to each other. College of engineering majors are judged equally with each other and college of L&S are judged equally with each other
^ I believe this is not the case for CCS majors. The applications for different CCS majors have different components and questions. They also have significantly different deadlines and timetables.
