@bobaloverr Congratulations! I remember your worried post from a few weeks ago about your TAG. I’m so happy for you! Mine went through as well =D>

Got into UCR waiting for UCI and UCLA

Know what I hate more than not hearing an answer. When people come on here, sign up, just to post they got accepted. Weren’t here for the struggle…

The financial aid award letter comes out in early April by the way. You’d just have to log back into the portal and you’ll click a link for the unofficial award letter. Just found this info on the website.

@uchopeful414 lol who cares?

Alright guys I got accepted as an Econ and Accounting major, but now I am not sure if I want accept my offer because of Econ 10A there is a risk I may not get into the full major. Would I be better off going to CSULB for accounting? I loved UCSB but there isn’t another major I would feel comfortable switching to. Help!

@uchopeful414 A lot of the people who have just been posting acceptances might have been following this thread for a while without posting (like me). We have all been nervous the whole way, and we still have to go through the same process for the other schools. For those like you who haven’t heard back yet, I wish you all the best of luck. I understand that the wait is definitely not easy.

It’s disheartening is all. Some of us spend months here together and don’t hear anything but then some randoms come out of nowhere and “ACCEPTED!”
It’s not that I have a problem with People doing it. Don’t get that impression

Is it true that if my status is pending on the first day, the chance will be much lower?

admitted by UCR, wait for UCI UCLA

It would also be helpful if they said WHEN they got accepted lol

Accepted!

CSUF to UC Transfer
GPA: 3.7
Major: Philosophy
All Prereqs + Recommended Complete
Applied: UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCSC (However, only under philosophy at UCSB)
Accepted: UCSB
EC: Three years of non-profit experience
Essays: Hard to gauge because writing is a passion of mine; therefore, I am also more critical than others. Still probably 8-9/10 by my standards.

Not only am I a CSU student, but I committed two different admissions crimes of competing my English courses out of sequence and am only in the midst of completing course A1 which I had to go back and complete this semester. Aside from that I am competitive, but I was sure that UCSB would toss my application aside given their reputation for English requirements.

Side Point,

Is anyone else extremely skeptical and paranoid? I actually screenshot my decision page because I feel like I am going to log in later and its going to be gone. The admissions team is going to wake up tomorrow and be like, “Actually, nevermind.” LOL

@uchopeful414 I have been reading this sub since last year and didn’t have an account until recent. Honestly, this sub gave me a lot of information i need, and helped my decision of which UC to applied. In my opinion, I think people on College confidential are much more informative than the counselor at my community college. (My school counselor told me W would affect my UC admission decision…) Without reading this sub, I probably would not apply UCSB at all, because I am missing two major prep for UCSB. I sincerely thank anyone who post their accepted information, and any helpful advice. For people who still waiting for admission decision, I wish all the best to you guys, and hope you all get accepted soon. Stay positive!

@college452 Congratulations!
Could I ask you whether you have got all A s in recommended or required courses?
Your overall GPA is the same as mine, and my major is also CS.
I have got two B s(Physics and Linear Algebra) out of ten recommended and required courses,
and got all A s in the rest courses. My status is still Decision Pending.
Also, I completed all recommended courses in the last Fall

It’s been 4 hours since UCSB notified me of my admission status (they told me at 2:00pm instead of 3:00pm), and I still haven’t received an e-mail of any sort. I recommend those still waiting to periodically check the portal to see if anything changes.

How come we can’t like and say helpful. I liked what icedflavored said
