@Countchocula25 Huh. That’s actually really interesting. I always thought they extended the deadline so they could deny more individuals and artificially lower their acceptance rates.
Glad to see my cynicism wasn’t justified, haha.

@chaseguy750 U signed TAG, 3.75 GPA, prerequisite fulfilled after spring, why are you worrying? Just wait for that acceptance
@UCSDaaa it’s not that I’m worried I just want it to be confirmed and see the acceptance. I really want to attend UCSB!

I’ve been accepted to 4 out of the 5 CSU’s for far and I just got accepted into UCR. Still waiting to hear from UCLA, UCSB, & UCSD.
I just got an email from UCSB saying that admission decisions will begin to come out on March 22nd. I think the previous date we heard about was Mid-March - I’m pretty sure this is new information? Anyway, there you have it.
^^^same
I’ll be at UCSB’s Chancellor’s Reception this weekend in San Jose (my sisters are hs seniors and were invited) and if I get an opportunity to ask an admissions officer questions regarding transfer applicant information, I will do so! ftw
and i will post w/e i find out hurr
@UCMtoUCSBHopeful Thank you! & Have fun
Any Econ and Accounting transfers considering taking Econ 10A over the summer?
Or Econ majors
I also got the email that says decisions will be coming out starting March 22 and on a rolling basis thereafter.
Does anyone know approximately what proportion of letters and sciences applicants get their decisions on that day? For example, about a half? Three quarters? Or is it more like a few dozen per day all the way till late April?
Only about two weeks away now. Pretty exciting time.
Here my stats for my fellow bio majors since i can never find any lol
Major:BIOCHEM MOLECULAR
GPA:3.17
TAG: NO
IGETC: MOST OF IT JUST 2 CLASSES IN ART
PREREQS: PHYSICS MISSING, AND MIGHT DROP LINEAR ALG
APPLIED: ALL UC’S LOL
ACCEPTED:
JUST 2 WEEKS GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!
so at the reception, i didn’t learn anything important. i did speak to a transfer counselor (Melissa Chaves) and all i was told which everyone knows is "decisions will begin rolling out on March 22nd). honestly, yolo
I SAW A LOT OF NICE THINGS THAT DAY
I’M MORE EXCITED AND HOPEFUL THAN EVER TO HEAR BACK FROM UCSB!
11 more days before rolling admission begins!
Do you guys know if the rolling admission means that they will continuously update decisions every day or if they’ll release it in batches weeks apart?
Is 3.6 save for econ&accounting?
